Why did you feel Syncbox was the right choice for you?

We chose Syncbox, to hide tv cables and for our installations of flat screen TV’s. Where we mount on matching colour boards in our bedroom and media room installations. The main reason for this is to get the TV as close to the mount as possible. To give the best finish, and also with the ability to alter the socket fittings themselves.  We could also add Ethernet cables in the same double box so there was no need for separate boxes behind the TV’s.

What were the main issues with your previous installations without Syncbox?

With previous installations of flush mount TV brackets. Using normal sockets and switches sometimes didn’t allow us to get the TV right back. As the plug top or HDMI would get in the way. When using a Syncbox this is not an issue. As we can get the TVs all flush mounted without any trouble.

How easy was Syncbox to install in comparison to the previous option?

We found Syncbox just as easy as normal sockets and switches to install so we did not require any special advice or technique to install. The back box is deeper than some standard socket back boxes so that’s the only slight difference we found when installing. However,  we had the Syncbox’s ordered before we started the project so it made no difference to our installation.

What reaction did you receive from your client?

Our client was very happy with the finished look and how slim the Syncbox looked when in situ. We discussed how we thought it was a good idea and how we had both seen it on the TV show Dragons Den. In both cases on our installations, the TV covered the Syncbox from show but it’s neatness and flush fitting that made fitting the large TVs easy.

Most useful feature of Syncbox?

To us the big selling point is the fact there are no plug tops on show & no awkward cable bends to contend with. I can see it’s got lots more potential and uses in different applications and not just to hide tv cables.

Extra comments:

I can see us using these more in the future. On projects like kitchens, bedrooms and media rooms. Where space and the ability to almost hide away the power points is needed and also to hide tv cables. I would honestly recommend a Syncbox to anyone who has a media type installation to undertake.
